My name is Shawn Demaray and I'm a Certified Personal Trainer and a Sports Performance Specialist. I grew up in the urban jungle better known as Livermore Falls, ME. I went on to be recruited to play football for the University of Maine where I earned my bachelors and Masters degrees in Exercise Science, excelling academically and athletically. I was recognized as a standout student-athlete, earning the Deans List every semester in college and earning a spot on the All Conference Football Team. Upon graduating, I joined the football coaching staff at Maine Maritime Academy then joined Husson University as the strength and conditioning coach and an adjunct professor. I had the amazing opportunity to return to the University of Maine's football program only this time as a coach. Most recently and prior to joining this amazing group at LA Training I was the Fitness Director at the Old Town/Orono YMCA. At LA Training, I specialize in athletic performance and practice these same principles on my non-athlete clientele better known as HEAT (High Energy Athletic Training). I've worked with all age groups spanning from middle school athletes looking to improve their sports performance to senior-aged clients looking to improve their overall health and wellbeing. I incorporate the training techniques and tools I was taught to use both in my collegiate education and my many years of experience as a multi-sport athlete. I live in Bangor with my wife, three young sons, and two cats
Hello, my name is Louie Morrison. My fitness journey began during my junior year of high school when I followed one of the guys from my church into the local fitness center. He taught me the ropes and I soon fell in love with the idea of living a healthy lifestyle. During my freshman year at Husson College I started working with the womens basketball team in the weight room after I was approached by their coach for technique tips. I soon realized that I may be able to build a career helping others with their own fitness journeys. I soon found myself working at a local fitness center in which I developed an amazing and extremely loyal clientele of personal training customers. After 13 years at Union Street Athletics, with advice and guidance from my business mentor, I was able to open my own fitness studio in downtown Bangor. 7 Years later LA Training has become something so much more than I ever envisioned. I have surrounded myself and our studio with an amazing staff of Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors. I couldn't be anymore proud of our team and would absolutely love to help YOU create an everlasting relationship with fitness.

Fitness, athletics and wellness has been a life long pursuit. Athletics, lifting, hiking, cycling, paddling and yoga have been lifetime activities. Moving my body and seeing its abilities and testing its limits has been something I have always had a passion for. Pursuing my BS in Kinesiology with Concentration in Athletic Training in 1998 was my first step. After working within the sports medical and orthopedic field I decided to layer on the element of education and achieved my Master of Science in Education 2001. While in the classroom was extremely rewarding a move to this area stepping me out of the classroom and into the gym. My group fitness career started with Les Mills BodyFlow, certifying in Jan 2012. I caught the bug hard for instructing and next became a Les Mills GRIT Series Coach in 2013. Falling in love with the world of fitness and health made it an easy decision to make the step into creating a career within this field and so in 2013 I became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. Working with amazing clients and class members only motivated me more to expand my education and repertoire. After being exposed to an incredibly effective new suspension training tool I became a TRX/RIP Trainer Qualified Trainer in 2014 with several trainings in both individualized application and group instruction with these incredible tools. My love of the pursuit of fitness along with my love of being out in the elements led to me becoming an ACA Certified Paddle Board Instructor as well in 2016. This is an incredible way to achieve fitness goals and explore our amazing Maine waterways.
I am hoping to bring some versatility to what I can offer as an instructor and wanting to continue to expand my personal yoga practice I next became a BUTI Yoga Certified Instructor in 2018 and am loving the challenge and energy it brings to my life and that of my clients and class members. Finally wanting to bring my love of outdoor cycling to an indoor setting in our long Maine winter months, I most recently became a Les Mills RPM Instructor in 2018.
